What is the BIPOC at Govs Alumni Collective?
The collective is made up of Govs alumni, current students, parents, and faculty/staff.
What does the BIPOC Collective do?
Collective members work in collaboration to making The Governors Academy an antiracist institution. There are monthly collective meetings where we update members on current happening on campus as well as what our committees have been up to.
About Committees
What do committees do?
Committees have a specific focus. Through that focus they have goals and initiatives that they are working towards that directly impact The Governors Academy. Most committees are working in collaboration with faculty, staff, and administrators on campus.
How many people can be in a committee?
We would like committees to have at least 5 members with 1 -2 committee leaders.
Can I join more than 1 committee?
We encourage collective members to be apart of one committee but they can act as a supporter to other committees.
