Student Wellness & Services
Our purpose is to improve the BIPOC experience at Govs by focusing on the specific needs of BIPOC members of the community with regards to mental health and wellness. We’re working on bringing services to campus that focuses on the needs of the BIPOC community while also ensuring the already existing structures are inclusive.

Alumni Social
Our committee strives to create safe spaces for BIPOC students and alumni to come together. We’ll continue to support one another by fostering an environment where BIPOC members of our community can feel comfortable and reconnect.

Alumni Giving & Philanthropy
We aim to educate the collective on how donated funds help support the institution. We’re working towards organizing grassroot fundraising efforts to improve the experiences of the BIPOC community at the Governor’s Academy.

We feel the connections between current students and alumni are invaluable. We’re working on a program that connects current BIPOC students and alumni that are able to leverage their experiences to help them navigate their social and educational paths.

Allies & Resources
We are committed to supporting the Collective's directive through active outreach, generating awareness about the Collective and the lived experience of BIPOC students at Govs, and creating educational opportunities for non-BIPOC alumni to engage in antiracism work. To do this, each member is immersed in self reflection and education to better understand our own role in ending racist behaviors.
